March is National Kidney Month and the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois is hard at work making all Illinois residents aware of their kidney health!
Join us this year as we spread awareness of the importance of kidney health at our upcoming March events: World Kidney Day will be held on Thursday, March 12 at Chicago State University, and Advocacy Day will be held on Tuesday, March 31. Click the links for more details on these events, and how you can get involved.
During National Kidney Month, we will also be running a kidney disease awareness campaign! Across social media and our blog, we'll be sharing stories from patients, posting kidney health statistics, and hosting "Ask the Expert" social media takeovers. Our in-house dietitian, social workers, transplant coordinators, living donors, transplant recipients, nephrologists and more will be answering all your burning questions throughout the month.
If you see any downtown buildings lit up in orange, snap a photo or two and post them on our Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages for all to enjoy. Don't forget to use the hashtag #KidneyMonth with your post, and throughout the month of March, to join us in spreading the word!
