Transplant Life Illinois hosted the official TGA flag at the NKFI Walk for Kidneys on Sunday, June 12, 2022, at Diversey Harbor in Chicago. About 15 TLI members signed the flag, and visitors to TLI's donation awareness booth got to see first hand the flag that is making its way around the country in preparation for the 2022 Donate Life Transplant Games of America.
The Games will take place July 29-August 3 in San Diego. About 10,000 transplant recipients, living donors, donor family members, and their supporters will gather to raise awareness of the need for organ and tissue donation and to show the world that donation enhances and saves lives, all while paying tribute to the donors who make a second chance possible.
Team Illinois members will compete against other state athletes in some 20 sports ranging from cornhole to team basketball. Follow Team Illinois as we "Catch the Wave to San Diego" via all our social media outlets.
